I kept getting a past hit by Alanis Morissette stuck in my head:
"Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
when you think everything’s okay and everything’s going right
and life has a funny way of helping you out
when you think everything’s gone wrong and
everything blows up in your face"
Will you end up living a better life worrying about how things will not turn out fine?
It got me thinking about expectations and experience. In services marketing, the feeling of satisfaction comes about when a customer experiences better than what he expects, and vice versa.
After all, is life merely about meeting your expectations? Say, I’m picky about men when it comes to relationships – thus I’ve been single, and I don’t seem to be satisfied.
But does it mean I should start worrying about that, in essence reducing my expectations so that the chance of being satisfied will increase?

kalau keinginan kita terpenuhi kita senang, kalau tidak kita sedih. but i guess that’s the blessing in life, without expectations how can one be happy or sad, thus if one never felt this kind of feeling ,how can one be said to live a fulfill life? (terakhirnya pake bahasa inggris juga deh gue, hehehe)
Never compromise too much in a relationship, or else you will regret eventually. Somehow I believe you already knew the answer before you posted this question. You probably just need reaffirmation 😀
Things work differently in corporate world and relationship web. We rely on rational mind and our intelligence to solve corporate issues. However, we need tons of useful intuitions to guide us in relationship.
